Life’s mystery proves to be epic still,
Scientific discoveries add to spirit nil.
The enigmas crafted and artfully drawn,
On the dark side of the moon spawned.
From daffodils and buttercups they pour,
From one thousand galactic suns and more
Throw logic on the rubbish heap of history,
Leave intelligence behind in light of mystery.
Enter the sanctified realm of ancient wisdom,
A cat stalking on silent paws curiosity in tandem.
Facts merely coated with our human perceptions,
Divine wisdom fused with revelatory confections.
But wisdom, ah sweet wisdom, slips thru fingers,
With the sands of life, of time, and never lingers.
Does anyone notice? Indeed, does anyone care?
Mystery awaits discovery, but holds a sign: Beware.
Wisdom, alas, a melody that often goes unheard;
As it arises from ocean depths, if it ever be stirred.
SO TRUE, JOHN...THE WORLD IS MORE INTERESTED IN SOLVING SOME ANCIENT AND PRESENT MYSTERIES THAN SEEKING 'ALWAYS AVAILABLE', 'IN PLAIN SIGHT', 'FOREVER YOUNG'...WISDOM. GO FIGURE(SMILE). THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
Wonderful words of wisdom abound in this poetic song. I think my cat is very wise because she knows how to push my buttons for a petting session. When I am at my busiest moment she calmly calls for an encounter. I rarely ignore her call. Then she gets me to reduce my stress and relax for a few moments and in-turn this helps me reflect on life in a more positive manner. My wife is very similar as she usually wants my undivided attention in the busiest part of my day. If I listen attentively I usually see things in a different light. That my friend must be wisdom. For if we take time to open our minds and hearts to others we all benefit. Thank you for taking the time to write about wisdom. It's a subject overlooked in our busy world. Peace be with you.
