I Save Nothing
By John Herlihy
I save absolutely nothing,
With nary a thought to care.
Absolutely nothing saves me,
Yet never the worse for wear.
What on earth do I need to save,
A thing to accumulate that matters.
I am just a troublesome knave,
All I try to do ends up in tatters.
Most people I know are into things,
Possessions that show their riches.
They think assets happiness brings,
Their attitude keeps me in stitches.
At heaven’s gate, I arrive with nothing;
That in itself will be truly something.
Love ya!

I have no idea why people keep grabbing whatever they can find in this world, knowing they can't take with them when they leave.
