Where Shadows Never Reach
By John Herlihy
Never question the mystery of soul,
A mystery so deep it remains whole.
The vast soul reveals light and shade,
And is of a diaphanous texture made.
One corner of my soul has only light,
No shadow found anywhere in sight.
The solitary place is of my very own,
This inner privacy to no one known.
This corner of soul I always beseech,
A place where shadows never reach.
The world has harsh words on its lips,
Words that only feel like icicle drips.
My inner world feels as midnight fire,
Stoking the embers our lives inspire.
Love ya!
Jane
May your soul be always bright which I think it is!
