- The Truth of Falsehood -

There is a truth to falsehood that no one can rightfully imagine;

If we dig deep enough into all the untruths, what do we fathom?

All falsehoods do go out of their way to make their false claims;

But when they are given voice to and heard, what then remains?

What remains non other than the choice to believe or disbelieve;

After all, the last thing that anyone wants is ourselves to deceive.

Deep down the inner sanctum of falsehood lies a kernel truly real;

A nugget of pure gold all the world’s falsehood can never conceal.

We try to cover truth in a blanket of untruths impersonating truth;

Even when we know that our falsehoods are nothing but uncouth.

Still we cannot face the fact that our untruths may expose the lie;

That we tell ourselves and others, protecting our sins by being sly.

A day will come when our falsehoods are seen for what they are;

Only then will we see the light of truth, to erase their lasting scar.
