-- As It Should Be -–

John Herlihy

Everything in the world as it should be,

The earth under Heaven as it should be,

Earthly time never late as it should be,

An envelope in eternity as it should be,

Day and night on time as it should be,

The solstice never late as it should be,

A dawn sun in the East as it should be,

The twilight in the West as it should be,

Mystery never revealed as it should be,

Our future is concealed as it should be,

Human nature unique as it should be,

Free to make choices as it should be,

Every road has an end as it should be,

Death spares no one as it should be,

All sacred realities as they should be,

A mysterious universe as it should be.

The universe is "as it should be". It's just too bad that mankind, well, some of it, is not. Let's pray that someday it will be. I love these comforting words, John!

Love ya!

Having said all that, I'll say there are some things in this universe that shouldn't be. Abnormalities exist all around us.
