The eyes may be blinded by a light ray,

Shadow rays also ask something to say.

A breath of love reflects shadow and light,

We inhale the day and we exhale the night.

The dance of love keeps all hardship at bay,

Swans of white and black dance night away.

The waves of love enclose bride and groom,

Tidal forces of ocean drawn from the moon.

Silhouettes in shadow give shape to the light,

Shining down into gorges from dizzying height.

Along the illuminated path lies a darkened way,

A matter of choice leads me to harken and pray.

On the bridge between worlds of day and night,

I see myself in silhouette, a shadow in the light.
