No one ever stands beside me,

When it comes to taking the blame.

No one ever will share this with me,

When it comes to feeling the shame.

No one will ever feel sorry for me,

When it comes to demeaning my name.

Everyone wants to take a part of me,

When it comes to taking the credit.

Everyone wants to get in line with me,

When it comes to sharing the merit.

Everyone wants to soak up the praise,

When it comes to a thing to inherit.

Whenever I screwed up, I was one my own,

Whenever I did good, I had to share my throne.

Take the credit to see if you have a false friend,

Take the blame to see if you have a true friend.
