-- While the Road Taken -- John Herlihy While the road taken Listened to a thousand sighs, The road not taken Beckoned with a thousand lies. While the road taken Turned into a beautiful flower, The road not taken Never enjoyed a single hour. The road taken Filled with an endless hope. The road not taken Made up of a frayed rope. The road taken Passed through a land of sorrow. The road not taken Never meet the land of tomorrow. The road taken Passed through the valley of despair. The road not taken Never seeming in need of repair. The road taken At times offered momentary bliss. The road not taken Never offered anything to miss. The road taken, A journey never to be mistaken. Your words really have me thinking. I believe some road hopping takes place at times. You got into my head, John! As long as one ends up on "The road taken,", I suppose it's alright. You get me going!! xo

This poem left me a bit confused, probably because of Frost's "The Road Not Taken," one of my favorites celebrating the opposite train of thought. What is better, I wonder? To be safe or to be adventurous?
