Wouldn’t it be nice,

To just fall madly in love,

To set the heart pounding,

To feel alive and to feel free,

To trust yourself to someone else,

To be there in the arms of another,

To be willing to give yourself away.

Wouldn’t it be nice,

To simply be in love,

To have the moments pass,

Without a care or concern,

To have the minutes and hours last,

While your heart feels the burn,

To know that you are not alone.

Wouldn’t it be nice,

To have the memory of love,

To have flown on wings of a dove,

To know what it all meant,

To settle down with feelings content,

To have loved with all one’s heart,

To have been loved till death do us part.

Wouldn’t it be nice,

To know when the day comes,

To be at that place that will arrive,

To be ready no matter what may happen,

To look forward with imagination and hope,

To enter that door that will open wide,

To know I have loved and was loved in return.
