I looked deep into the night sky

But, alas, there was no star

The next night, I looked into the night sky

To behold there a multitude of stars

One night I looked into the night sky

To reach for a star

The next night I looked into the night sky

And finally touched a star

Years passed looking into the night sky

Before I drew down the star

The wisest thing that I ever did

Was to reach for that star

I lived a long life

In my heart my beloved star

When I died, my soul returned to the heavens

To be a star among the stars

To woo the imagination of those below

To reach for a star, its mystery to know

Envoys of beauty, listening to music of the spheres

Their smile lighting the night across the years

Their spirit sings ever sweetly as they shine

The melody orchestrated by the Hand of the Divine
