In the face of adversity,

Never to lose sight of hope.

In the shadow of misery,

To cling to the divine rope.

To be a roaming firefly,

A lantern of the night.

To be a luminous butterfly,

A phantom in sunlight.

To be the night moth,

Knocking on the window.

To be the rainstorm,

Painting a rainbow.

To be the ladybug,

Ever seeking her home.

To be the nightingale,

Soaring under heaven’s dome.

To be the river water,

Giving shape to the stone.

To be a fire to the wood,

Strength to fortify bone.

In the face of adversity,

To choose resilience, grit.

In the shadow of misery,

To see life with a face lit.
