Having spent a lot of time climbing in New Hampshire while living in Boston, I had on one occasion a nightly view of one of the little creatures, but only for a few seconds, as my flash camera sent her flying. How memorable such an experience, as like your poem's line"ghostly grace" I was fortunate to bear witness, even for only a ghostly second or two.
