Questions burning on the wick of your candle. Time comes and goes quickly. Making the most of each moment is best. And facing in the same direction that time is flowing is always wise. A bit of a riddle here I'm sure everyone will interpret differently. Enjoyed. r
You have provided quite a bit of mystery with this poem. It's as if you're saying, let bygones be bygones, because the past, regardless how it was--is gone. And you write about the "mirage of tomorrow" rightfully because we really can't predict what is coming ahead no matter how we try.
It would seem that the second to last line would read better "Time keeps pace," but it may have been your intention to relate time and space.
This poem strongly suggests that we have choices, we despair too much, we throw in the towel too often. Perhaps humankind needs to address the points you ardently point out and discover for themselves that there will always be a then and there, a when and where. We merely have to acknowledge the arc of living is the constantly evolving yin and yang of universal energy. Humans shouldn't need to be reminded, but... Enjoyed this.
