-- Some Days, Other Days --

By John Herlihy

How do I sometimes feel,

From one day to another.

Like film on a movie reel,

One person, then another.

Some days I feel oh so happy,

Feeling nothing can go wrong.

Like a gurgling infant in its nappy,

The heart singing its own song.

Some days I feel oh so sad,

Feeling nothing can go right.

Wondering how I ever felt glad,

In this dark soul of the night.

Some days I feel oh so inspired,

The sound of music in the air.

My imagination by images fired,

My soul murmuring my prayer.

Some days I feel oh so glum,

When nothing at all goes right.

Some days like the lottery won,

Feel as a bird ready to take flight.

Some days I feel oh so confused,

I don’t know which way is up.

Some days I feel oh so amused,

Partying with a full drinking cup.

Some days and other days,

Life has its inscrutable ways.

WE ARE ONE INTRICATE PIECE OF WORK...WE HUMANS ARE! WE HARDLY KNOW OURSELVES... WE ROLL ALONG FROM DAY TO DAY ...LIVING ON DIFFERENT SHELVES. WHAT A LIFE...SOME DAYS AND OTHER DAYS! YOU HIT IT RIGHT ON THE HEAD WITH THIS ONE, JOHN...SO RELATABLE, INDEED! LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Indeed.... 'Happy, sad, inspired, glum, confused', such is the multifarious human condition. All of us experience these kinds of emotional/mental shifts regularly. "Like a gurgling infant in its nappy," A great image, John. I fell out after reading it. Gave me a good chuckle. Thanx 4 sharing. Enjoyed. r
