-- Some Things Never Grow Old -- by John Herlihy Some things in life never grow old, Always inspiring, forever retold. The regularity of the rising dawn, The timid gaze of an inquiring fawn. The mystery of the dark night sky, The twinkling of stars that never die. The simple beauty of an unfolding bud, The layered mystery in emerging love. The gift of discovery in a new friend, The realization some things never end. Mercy, trust, an abiding peacefulness, Faith, love, the power of forgiveness. Yes, indeed. Perhaps that is why I never consider dieing the end. For the next phase in such an existence has a good chance of being part of the earth's Nature in one form or another. And... should the winds determine, another purchase of my dust will do just fine. Your choice of things that never grow old is insightful and registers hope. Thank you.
