-- No More Dreams to Dream --
by John Herlihy
Sometimes no more dreams to dream,
Harsh reality what it’s meant to seem.
The moon shines a feeling of melancholy,
Those twinkling stars lose their mystery.
The night has something else to bring,
As dreams fly away on extended wing.
When younger, dreams had their place,
An unknown future that we had to face.
Now the time to confront life’s mystery,
To unveil the true nature of life’s reality.
The one supreme principle that we adore,
Beyond the horizon on an eternal shore.
Our dreams find ways the mind to taunt,
The one true Reality is all that we want.

Blimey, eternal shore seems like the short lived fleeting dreams of Youth, a truth or reality that is beyond the material world.
Erudite, deep and full of meaning.
Top drawer.
My dreams are about something bugging me, a storyline that is usually a struggle with some eroticism, like last night, or sometimes just dreamless sleep. I don't recall bringing about unfathomable thoughts are reaching the unreachable. Maybe it's just in my nature not to spend a lot of time trying to figure out thing that are too distant or too abstract for any useful thing like a good short story that my dreams often provide.
