-- Pure Happiness -- by John Herlihy Depths of an abyss Into realms of bliss A happiness pure The one thing sure No lingering doubt What life is all about The puzzle complete The pieces replete, Adrift on a still pond Snug in a palm frond An awakened state At the paradisal gate A fragment of destiny At the core of mystery Love filled to the brim With rhythms of a hymn Pure happiness can’t last Fading surely into the past - - - - - Copyright © John Herlihy Saturday 28 September 2024

Wow, reading this felt like going down a slide for me. Zipped right along, exciting, good short lines and word choice, even the last two lines = ride over. Good part is when we can get back in line for another go at it. Very visual was �Adrift on a still pond/Snug in a palm frond� � had to love that! ~~ djl
