It’s hard to know the value of a thing,
When you think you will always have it.
Harder still to value blessing our lives bring,
When you forget that you even have them.
It’s easy to ignore what others do for us,
When we begrudge their efforts on our behalf.
Easier still to take others merely for granted,
When we don’t recognize true value they have.
We always think we want what we don’t have,
Only to realize what others have we don’t want.
We always think there is so much we know,
Until we realize how much we don’t know.
We think we are guaranteed certain success,
Until we find out that we have succeeded to fail.
We think it a divine necessity our lives to bless,
Until our karma manifests our sorry lives to assail.
We need be attentive, get the joy out of things,
Our lives too short to ignore blessings life brings.

Today it's all about fad change for change's sake. Most of us including me are guilty of having too much stuff that we never use or even look at. But you go far further than stuff. You get into our very way of living.
