What Is Life by John Herlihy What is life but the breath of the wind, A life force heard in the voice of the wind. What is life but the firefly in the night, Flashing into the darkness its breath of light. What is life but breath of a wolf sublime, The white breath of life found in winter time. What is life but a shadow in the grass, Chasing butterflies through a mountain pass. What is life but a gesture that is kind, Reflecting goodness in the vault of the mind. What is life but the beating of a heart, Carving a faithful person into a work of art. You are very capable of creating some unique images in lines like: �Chasing butterflies through a mountain pass.� and the ��shadow in the grass,� � it was a lift to envision chasing monarchs from the shadow grass through the mountain pass. Romping good! ~~ djl

Interesting use of metaphor here. I find your primary focus the "wind" works well as it can be argued that without the wind, our cosmos and indeed earth may not have formed. Thanks for posting.
