Eternity doesn't matter, The present moment matters. Eternity forever and ever, The present moment ends never. Eternity filled with nothing, The present filled with something. Eternity but a mystery, The present moment a reality. The days of eternity say no, The days of the present say hello. Eternity but a phantom ghost, The present moment an abiding host. Eternity way out there, The present moment right here. Eternity never ends, The present moment never pretends. Eternity hides its time, The present moment bides its time. What then is eternity? I like your last line. Eternity is really just a string of moments.

It says a lot about change. While we often resist change, without change life would really be boring.

For those who seek eternal life through religious belief. I believe their butts would get very sore "Sitting on the right hand of God."

Yes, everything is in an eternity mode. Some might argue it's just an extension of today into tomorrow. It's interesting to me how much mystery and fantasy has been built around the idea... an idea you have very succinctly and with inspiration presented here. Bravo!
