One of my adopted cats, named Fat Louie,

A feral I found living all alone in the woods,

Has recently fallen madly in love

With a Katrina victim I brought home

From New Orleans, named Miss Flower.

And this is their Western love story,

Inspired by my friend, George Carroll,

And his recent Country Western Poems.

They say Fat Louie was the meanest hombre

To ever terrorize the old Wild Wild West

He robbed banks trains and stage coaches

But he was a lonely desperado losing life’s zest

Miss Flower was a very lovely southern belle

Who hailed from the old town of New Orleans

But after losing everything she had in a storm

She decided to head West to pursue her dreams

As fate would have it so the old Western legend explains

These two lonely souls were drawn together one epic night

Fat Louie had decided to rob the stagecoach she was riding in

But when he saw this lovely lass his heart soon filled with delight

As she slowly stepped down from the old coach

Fat Louie was mesmerized by her enchanting eyes

And without even thinking about it he blurted out,

“If you don’t marry me, Maam, I’m just gonna die.”

The very shy and lovely Miss Flower gazed back at this outlaw

Quickly deciding he was the most handsome fella she had seen yet

And as the epic old legend of Fat Louie and Miss Flower would have it

They were last seen riding off together into a magnificent Western sunset
