Inspired by My Brother’s
Recent Autobiographical Poem,
-Haunt Of The Jersey Devil-
I Guess That It Might Be Time,
For Both of Us, To Be On The Level

They were born so very long ago
To a strange radioactive alien mother
But they had never known each other
These two very strange alien brothers

Their mother had been a traveler
From a very exotic planet, far away
She had given birth to these two sons
Before her demise, that very tragic day

One of these two strange siblings, who had wings
Had very hurriedly flown off into the deep, dark, forest
The other brother, who had eight enormous hairy legs
Had raced underground, filled with sadness and remorse

One has truly been known far and wide
As a creature they call, The Jersey Devil
And one has led a very secluded hidden life
Until recently, hiding deep below ground level

The one known on Planet Earth as the Jersey Devil
Is often seen at night, in New Jersey’s Pine Barrens
The one known in the dark underworld, as Spiderfoot
All his life, just to meet his brother, had always yearned

Fate recently enabled these two strange alien brothers to meet
When Spiderfoot spotted the Jersey Devil just outside his cave
His hairy heart and soul joyously leapt at the very sight of him
So he put caution to the wind, and scurried after him very brave

But the reception that he got at the home of his long lost brother
Did not fill Spiderfoot with his much anticipated sibling harmony
Instead of welcoming his brother from the deep, dark, underworld
Jersey sprayed him with bug spray, shouting “Get Away From Me!”

So now the die has been cast in an epic new battle for the eerie Pine Barrens
This final war between the two strangest brothers on Earth has now just begun
You won’t want to miss one exciting episode in this brand new brotherly series
In the Pine Barrens – When the Dust Finally Settles - There Can Be, Only One

And Next Time,
You May Get To Meet,
Our Other Alien Brother;
A Very Wise, Old,
Daddy Long Legged Spider,
Named ‘Long Georg’

If good reviews in the future I get,
I won't again use the bug spray,
But to capture that 8 legged bug,
I have in my possession a spider catching net...

And to Mr. Engler, you better hope you meant the Jersey Devil ed or else you will be getting a night time visit no matter where you live as I can fly long distances and I bought me a GPS...;)

He sprayed him with "bug spray"? Got me chuckling. If there can be only one does that make them highlander aliens??

Be always safe,
Karen

Oh boy, another Eds war, just when a little mediocrity was coming back into life. That spider one is definitely the good looking one. I'll bet their mother had unusually long, hairy legs, and lips that killed. Was she a snaggle tooth? I hope so. I like beauty in everything. Perhaps the film makers should be watching this to improve on the spider man movies. May the best Ed win, but we already know which one that is, don't we........Jerry

...Never leave bug spray more than a foot away...
Weave a fine pen here... Having a mum like that, suddenly all clicks in to place.
I see a web of deceit on the horizon

Aha! Do I detect another entanglement by these brothers? Would that we could harness their energy, give them each a musical instrument, and promote them as "Big Brother Battlers". Ahhh...I can envision their on-stage musical antics, now! One with a fiddle, one with guitar, one on the drums...Fantastic Antics...whatta show!

...and as it may be, I am already rubbing together my eight very long and very hairy legs, because my glowing in the night siblings have disturbed my precious net with their shenanigans.

BUT - SPIDERFOOT SURVIVED! WHY? BECAUSE CONGRESS, IN ITS INIMITABLE WISDOM HAD BANNED PCP'S - AND THE OLIVE OIL PROPELLENT NOT ONLY SAVED HIS LIFE -

BUT MADE HIM EVEN STRONGER - LONGER - AND WITH A MORE DEADLY DONGER!
