I think that I have really heard it all these days

A Texas millionaire, says we’re all just whiners

But you won’t catch Mr. Phil Gramm or his wife

Shopping at any discount stores or eating in diners

Senator Phil Gramm and his wife made millions

On something you may remember, called ‘Enron’

And now he makes lucrative deals for Swiss banks

Cash is something Senator Gramm holds quite fond

And many call this extremely sage leader ‘Foreclosure Phil’

Because he helped initiate those sub-prime lending schemes

Which have now led many American citizens into foreclosure

But most of us poor American slobs, are just whiners, it seems

He’ll also receive a plush Congressional pension, for the rest of his life

And someone else pays for all the gasoline, for his big gas-guzzling limo

Losing his job or his home or having enough cash for food, not a concern

So stop your damned whining, you lazy Americans, and just get up and go

And much, much better days are coming, my many whiny, cry baby, friends

Presidential Candidate McCain wants Phil to be Secretary of our Treasury

Good old Phil really knows how to handle gobs and gobs and gobs of cash

So quit your whining, you damned Americans, and fill your hearts with Glee

And In Case You Haven’t Heard,

Good Old Foreclosure Phil Claims

We’re Not in a Real Recession Either.

It’s Just a Damned ‘Mental Recession;’

It’s All Just In Your Extremely Silly Heads,

You Dumb, Whiny, American Whiners, You.

So Shape Up,

Quit Whining,

And Be Happy!

Is it any different than Sen. Kerry referring to a "few dead people" as a nusance? How little and insignificant they really think we all are. All in the attitude I guess. And when it all creeps up the ladder and there is no more "tax revenue" coming in, then what will they all do? All things relative, right? Think Cleve has put it all in perspective....

Whine, Whine, Whine! Please stop…Your disturbing me as I eat the dinner I paid way too much for with money that’s worth less than the paper it’s printed on. Besides, I’m preparing to sell my house to fill my cart with gas which will take me to my job that is cutting my hours, and laying off coworkers so they can stay solvent.

Ed, nice write. I have come to the conclusion that those that 'have' like your friend Sen. Graham, do the most whining and those that are the 'have nots' don't whine, but plead for much needed help.

I concur with Belle - impeach the whole lying lot! And nobody whines louder than a Congressman who doesn't get their yearly cost of living increase - they can't AFFORD their hundred thousand dollar a year house or to put gas in their muliple cars - and meanwhile, Veterans are living on the street, people are losing their homes, we've starving here while worrying about the hungry in "poor, undeveloped" nations, and senators and congressmen want OUR kids to learn a foreign language (i.e., Spanish) and don't require illegal aliens to learn English: we got our OWN probs, GIMME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your poem is excellent, but picks me off: what it's supposed to do. Well done, Ed.

I got mad enough to spit when I heard his comment, the king on the hill throwing rocks at all the slaving peasants! I think we need to impeach the whole damn lot of all of them from the top down and the bottom up. Good vent Ed.
