Yet Another Ed Family Feud

“Our pictures may fade,

But our memories won’t.”

Dear Old Ma Ed

Every time that our family feuds

Ma pulls out her old family photos

“Why can’t you knuckleheads get along,

Like you all had, all those long years ago?”

She just sent me this old picture

Brother Jersey, in his Buddha robe

Next to him, his favorite cousin, Tom

They were always together, so long ago

They would tell each other terrible jokes

They would chuckle, until the wee hours

Never ever, a cross word between the two

But today, their friendship, has grown sour

And how marvelous Tiger Lily looks

Standing next to her brother, Pee Wee

In those days, I refused to get any haircuts

I still prefer this look, but it's very hard to see

Sister Tiger Lily and I, have remained close

But these days, all Jersey and Tom do, is fight

They are upsetting both dear old Ma and Tiger Lily

Neither of them believes that family feuds are ever right

Both of them think that old Jersey and Tom, should reconcile

They want to hear that these two, are once again, getting along

Just looking at this picture, has now got both of them teary-eyed

And I admit to a tear or two under all my hair, listening to this song

And Ma, please tell my Mean Tall Woman

I really don’t need to visit the groomer yet

If we can’t have any Ed Family Harmony

I will take solace, in looking like my pets

Memories, Memories, Family Memories,

I’m out in the moonlight, with my mutts;

I can still howl, at those good old days,

It was such a happy old Ed Family then.

I remember those good times,

We knew what happiness was,

Let those memories, live again.

Famlies are way too political these days and most family members will roll out the red carpet of religion to boot. I have a cousin who I love dearly but she cannot keep her liberal views off the family table. I cannot invite her over because she makes my wife crazy. Then there are others some who stay, have a great time and go about their own business. They are welcomed back but even good folks smell like old cheese after an extended visits. If we respect eachothers beliefs and privacy things work out a whole lot better. Peace to you and your family!

Bro Ed,methinks both Jurseeeey and Tom Cur, are stubborn and neither will admit to being wrong. I hope we can appeal to their better nature and have them forgive and forget,so we can all be a happy family again.
Their name calling only makes them look like stupid fools who never learned to behave properly. However I 'll probably be called names for what I just said about them,so I don't know if they'll ever learn!

This is a lovely poem which should make them want to be part of our family again. I hope they will.

Love sis tiger lily (the svelte one who is hoping to find a neck;-) heeheehee;-)

Dear Ma ED & Tiger Lily ED ...

Please tell Peewee ED that his gesture is duly noted.
However, not unlike 'Fore-Play' ... we are just warming up ...
A Real Feud normally involves 'bodily harm' ...
Which the 'Devil' has threatened ...

I, however, being so Knightly, and thus, Gallant ...
Shall not be forced into 'Fisticuffs' ...
Sometimes, 'Poison Pens' are more deadly than Swords!

As soon as Ole Cuz 'Wuss-A-Lot' admits Defeat & Yields ...
I shall accordingly initiate 'Noblesse Oblige' ...
And Grant him a 'Special Family Dispensation' ...

Could anything be Fairer?

Now, for Dear Cuz J.D. ED ...

A few minor corrections to your faulty explanation of the Family PIC above:

1. Peewee did NOT look his best back then ...
when he was Totally Bare-Arse BALD,
he was like a miniature Yul Brenner!

2. I do NOT have Drink in my hand ...
the Right hand holds a Cigar -
while the Left holds a Rifle, for ...
Shooting 'Pot-Heads'!

3. Tiger Lily was Always Svelte (notice the e on the end) ...
and when she speaks FRENCH ... OOOH...LAH-LAH!

4. That is NOT a Bell in your hand ...
rather, an old-fashioned BONG which you used to FOOL MA!

5. Finally, 'Transgression = Misbehavior, Wrong-Doing,
Disobedience, Contravention, Indiscretion, Offense ...
THESE were the things a 'Devil' does ... resulting in the
Family's Un-Happiness ... as John The Baptist might say:
"REPENT!" "REPENT!" ... Not unlike TRUTH ...
ABSOLUTION SHALL SET YOU FREE!

Merely Admit your 'Brain-Damaged' Short-Comings ...
and be Welcomed Back into THE FOLD!

AGAPE LOVE ... Dear Ole Cuz Sir Cur TK ... the 'Old Fart Bitch' (per you).

I love these little windows into other people's lives - I guess you could call me 'curious' if you were being polite. I did not grow up with a family so gems such as these are gold for me.

'Why can't we all just get along?" Family or extended family feuds are always draining. Hopefully the love and memories will bring them all back together again.
Take care,

Pee wee looked his best back then,
And Tom, as usual, had a drink in hand,
Tiger lily had a svelt body then,
And I wearing my robe with bell in hand...

We looked like a happy family didn't we,
This you can by our faces plainly see,
But it didn't take much to ruin that happiness,
It was all Tom's fault, he was always the one to always transgress...Jurseeeeeeeeeeeeeeey
