-A Horrific Holiday Season Story-

“She was the most famous wolf in the world;

And her senseless death is an American tragedy.”

Jimmy Jones,

Wildlife Photographer

Music: Nature’s Lament

For a $12 Wolf Hunting License

Our nation, just lost another treasure

Killing, seems to be all we know today

In taking life, we now find great pleasure

She was known as Wolf 832F to researchers

She was the leader of a Yellowstone Park Pack

She was a popular attraction, for many park visitors

But today, she and her kind, are under constant attack

Our ‘leaders’ took away their protected status last August

Now bowing to the tons of money they receive from lobbyists

She and others just like her had been protected, since the 1990s

Today, they have been removed from the Endangered Species List

Wolf Pack Leader 832F had been wearing a $4,000 GPS tracking device

Based on data from this device, researchers knew her pack, was not a threat

They very rarely left the confines of one of their last sanctuaries in the Rockies

They did not kill any livestock or attack any people – and now, this wolf is dead

Our nation now seems hell bent, on killing off, all of our remaining god-given wildlife

Visitors to Yellowstone National Park, will soon find it devoid, of all national treasures

We are now killing off our remaining timber wolves, grizzlies, wild bison, and wild horses

Our ‘leaders’ have all been paid off, and today, taking lives, brings so many, great pleasure

I love the heartfelt sentiment. Tragically, stories of this type never reach the national news, and yet, for those of us who truly care, their death is always grieved.

So sad...I worry about what will be left for the next generation...will it be only a concrete jungle devoid of nature's beautiful creatures.......sigh...

i'm an outsider, Ed, you know that, and as such am usually
reluctant to comment of other nation's issues and
behaviour but i do have to ask where is the enlightenment
in your country?.with some, for sure but not with enough
apparently..if Odin's right - and he is - then the scene
is bleaker than any winter anyone can imagine

As long as money and profit remain the measuring stick of "success" this country will continue to sink.

Would I have died for him instead, bless all the creatures, and damn those that neglect and trample upon them, with words, boots, spear or gun, damn them all. They howl and whine, when one of their own is hurt, but not others, yes, I include all, as others, for all is one in the end, when it comes. Bless ya!

Such a tragedy. Shame on Earthians. We don't seem to learn. Thank you, Ed. Love and peace,

Our "leader" has no care, but only for his own
notoriety... I won't go into how disgusting that
is... What is more disgusting is how many find
great pleasure in killing and hang their trophy
on a wall or stuffed for display...

All these stories just sadden me more daily...
