Music: Love Is A Many Splendored Thing
Dogs still continue to amaze me
I learn so many things from canines
This is a story of Unconditional Love
That to me is both wondrous and divine
The two dogs above were both homeless strays
Who had met, and bonded, and traveled together
And before very long, the female became pregnant
They were rounded up, and taken to a shelter together
Jade the female, eventually gave birth to six puppies
And Ben the male, was eventually adopted by a family
But Ben’s canine heart, already belonged to his true love
He ran away from his new home, and embarked on a journey
Ben now traveled through a winter snow storm, well over ten miles
Right back to the animal shelter, to be by the side, of his beloved mate
The shelter staff were all amazed, as was the family that had adopted Ben
So they've now adopted both dogs – a truly happy ending for both Ben and Jade
