I read your heartfelt poem, H.P.
And it really broke my heart
Of all the people in this world
You belong to a nasty old fart

And several tears came rolling down my cheek
When you wrote that you were cleaner than Ed
Don’t worry so much, H.P., please try to be happy
Even though his very devilish odor fills you with dread

And don’t even worry, that you called him a Whiny Old Coot
Everyone who knows this old Jersey Devil, calls him the same
If he picks on you too much, or threatens to pull the plug on you
Send me an e-mail, and I’ll call old Tom Hyland in, to save the day

A lot of the poems I read here on Author’s Den, don’t phase me too much
But I could really feel your agony in this one, H.P., so please keep in touch
