An AD friend of ours recently had quite a notion,

He decided to rig his trailer – to travel the ocean.

He got some pontoons and some heavy duty marine sealer,

And plastered them on the bottom, of his motor home wheeler.

He had been afraid that spring flooding might wash him away,

Now, he’s on one hell of an epic adventure, I’d have to say.

He and his trusty First Mate set out at first light,

They had been preparing, for most of the night.

Junk food and Milk Bones and quite a few snacks,

They even put a wave runner and bike, up on the rack.

He radioed and said they just left the New Jersey shore,

He said they’re heading due east – to Old Europe’s door.

I wish them the best on their courageous new cruise,

I just hope Ed doesn’t fall asleep and take a long snooze.

Rufuz will have to navigate all through the night,

Or Ed could get lost – there’ll be no traffic lights.

I sent some of my pigeons to wish them both good-bye,

I really hope Ed and Rufuz make it – on their very first try.
