Dance Of Light

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

A poem from the Artist in residence journey where the light danced haphazard on the forest above.

Dance Of Light

Yellow unto green gold.

Sunlight’s dance beholds.

Butterflies wings dainty come soft.

Dreams reveal faded glory sought.

So whisper now these woods unto my soul.

Genteel are its salutations; a heart made whole.

Therefore sleep sweet this day beneath the hickories shade.

Sleep sweet in woods so deep, inhaling the glory God has made.

J,

What a picture. What a poem. Both perfectly compliment the other with stunning imagery: yes. One to save. Thank you.
