Loves Infinity

I prayed again tonight; I asked of God but one thing.

I asked Him in a most humble heart that only joy to you I bring.

God knows that I love you; He knows of the burdens we share.

For you sweet Leah, you are the sum of all things bright and fair.

You may or may not know of this my love, but at night this for you I do.

I sit with you while you sleep the sleep of angels, and constantly watch over you.

For you are the epitome of my life; you are perfect for me in every way

You are my blessing and to you I give all my love both night and day.

For If the world that we know was to draw to a close with the rising sun.

I would beg the darkness to remain so that I may forever hold you as one.

If I gave of myself these eyes to you and lent of my ears for you to hear.

You would lastly see and in your heart know that I would always be near.

For there is none, not one that could remove you from my simple heart.

I don’t know how else to express to you Leah this love for you that I feel.

For even if there were a thousand volumes of pretty words that I may pen on parchments of silver and gold.

Even poems of loves infinity even in these could not they bestow.

There are some who often to me do say; “you coddle her too much; you need to grow up and be a MAN this day.”

Yet sadly they understand not for if they did, they would truly, truly know.

They would know that I can’t hold or love you enough, and even if I had a million years, even in this the totality of my love for you I could never show.

For when you hurt; I hurt. When you laugh; I laugh too.

So always know my darling; always know….I AM SO IN LOVE WITH YOU.
