Angels And Stardust

You saw me smile today; I even heard you on the phone tell someone I was fine.

Since when may I ask have you acquired the power to read my mind?

Do you not see that this was just a break in the clouds that let in a little light?

I am really trying to walk this road that is mostly consumed by the night.

I know you saw me smile, but do you really want to know why?

I got a wonderful E-card in the mail which brought a twinkle to my eye.

There was an angel and she was standing on the tip of a crescent moon.

She was sprinkling stardust on me below and I felt Leah with me in the room.

I know that you didn’t catch all that because of the reports that you had to do.

But if you had stopped for just a second you would have seen my smile was for Leah standing upon that moon.

But that’s OK…I really am fine.

As long as I keep this image of Leah sprinkling stardust on my mind.
