Five Months

Someone said to me yesterday that this week makes five months since Leah went away.

Five months I thought, such a seemingly long time, but God, it still feels like yesterday.

One hundred and fifty days, Oh Lord should not my soul feel some minute relief?

Why, oh why dear God does it sometimes feel like I am trapped within my grief?

I know in my heart dear Lord that I need for my own good learn to let go.

I try, but I fail…I give it all to you, yet I still feel the sting of deaths blow.

I search for golden rays of sunshine, but this valley is so dark and cold.

I climb every mountain that you put before me thinking will see the sun.

Yet all I find dear Lord are dark gray clouds filled with falling snow.

Lord, I have grown tired of pretending to others that I see almost every day.

I am weary of this façade; this smiling rubber mask that time for me has made.

I am tired of the same old thing, and I grow weaker in my simple need.

Therefore I come to you once again…

Not knowing why you are walking me along this burdensome way.

Not knowing what you will have me learn in the shadows of quite pain.

Five months this week God…Oh Lord…it is still as clear as yesterday.

Life can be cruel and subject us to endure what comes our way. Holding tightly to the life once shared, the dreams, the laughs, the shining light. Remembering well, yet forging forward to face the life that now is, yet you never really ever walk alone. God bless.....

Be always safe,
Karen

Well, sir, I guess I gotta agree with Mr. Kostro, mo matter the amount of time, etc...it takes us all differently how long we grieve, some never stop whereas others stop or end their grief more easily...still in all, as for me, I found grieving takes at least a year...but again its an individual thing...take the time you need...Ed

It will probably always be 'clear as yesterday,' no matter the amount of time that goes by, as our terrible losses usually are. But I truly hope some peace starts coming your way very soon, my friend.

Five months not long enough. You'll have your days of sadness. Anger. A tiny bit of joy. TAKE YOUR TIME, and theheck with anyone that tells you different!! Know this, you remain in my prayers -

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(

It can be so hard, but grieve as long as you need too.
You are simply doing fine these past 5 months, have made many friends on the den and everyone is looking out for you too.
We all know how hard it is for you and the photo here is simply beautiful. You have a lot to give us here on the den. Keep it up.

Five months - five years, when the loss of someone is involved, time is meaningless after a while. I could feel your pain in this beautiful heartfelt write. God be with you.

Allen... it's been 9 years...and it still feels like yesterday...so it will get easier; but it is not something that one can say will ever go away...some days it becomes normal living again...but there is always that little thing...that little moment...and crash... just do what you are doing, and walk as closely with God as you can...I wish I could give you a magic answer... hugs, lindalaw

(((HUGS))) and prayers~

It just doesn't get any easier, does it?? I still miss my big, strong daddy; he's been gone since May 28, 2008. Mom, almost nineteen years; she died on March 17, 1990.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <
