Poem Artwork

Lie With Me…

Winter still creeps as I drag the chains of a burdened soul.

Cross now frozen tundra; seeking spring; searching to be whole.

Lips now chapped and cracked; consumed by the vestige of time.

I pray the blessings of spring to bring renewal of this heart of mine.

I ponder the gay fields of my yesterday’s bountiful bloom.

Yet now those days lie now like the dead brown chafe of doom.

Oh but to taste the nectar of goodness; to be a butterfly in the spring.

Yeah, but to partake of a new beginning and to cherish the joy it brings.

Many are these hopes born in the silence of this simple tender heart.

Ever so reaching; ever so seeking the taste of a new spring…a new start.

So lie with me in the field of these dreams and taste with me…

WITH ME…

The goodness that comes with God and a new spring.

The beautiful thing about winter is that the hope and promise of spring lies under the frozen tundra...just as the hope and promise of spring, and of a new day lies in your heart. Spring will come again...

If i were to lie with you it would just compound the untruth, even if it were just another little white lie...Ed (oh you meant the other lie, as to lay etc) ;-)
