Trusting The Heart

He trusts wholly the soft elocution of the heart.

As it tell no lies; though often it has been hurt.

His trust is absolute in the delicate words that his heart must say.

He has walked many miles alone…unsure of direction,

Yet his heart always showed him the way.

Now he is sure again; he is certain, for his heart tells him no lies.

Though many miles he has walked alone, he now carries a shine in his eyes.

For she came to him on a gentle whisper, and he heard his heart once again say…

“You have always trusted in me, and I know that sometimes you have been hurt.

but in the end you always win because I lead you to a love that is true and of worth”.

So he just softly smiled and slipped off into sleep with such serene peace.

For he knew his heart had once again told him the truth in what he should now seek.

Now patiently he waits; he listens; he dreams.

He knows now that by the virtue of his heart.

He shall once again have a love that is for keeps.

The two of you deserve each other, I am sure...for virtue begats virtue...
Until you see each other again may you both be blessed with peace and a love that continues to blossom.

Good thinking here and positive thoughts and looking forward to the future as we all should be doing. I try too as you do and hope for a nice one and a joyous one just as I had a joyous Easter Sunday with friends and family and church going.

I've sometimes been at battle learning whether to trust my heart or my head because of past mistakes...but somehow, reading your poem makes trusting the heart seems that much more lovely. Beautiful thoughts, Allen and beautiful writing.

Such tender reflections of one's deepest thoughts and feelings, the heart sometimes leads where the mind refuses to follow.
