Her Summer Place
She sat in the warm silence of a garden green
And softly to herself ever so quietly dreamed.
She watched with a secret smile on her face,
As the hot sweet summer sun crashed suddenly
Beneath the moss covered trees in her summer place.
The smell of magnolias and jasmine creased the tepid air.
Thus infusing in her senses a time of peace, a time without care.
She then closed her eyes and in a tender slumber she slept.
She forgot about the yesterdays when alone she often wept.
For it was now that she was in her garden forever green.
In the garden built of promises that she knew he would surely keep.
Peaceful was her heart now as she slept beneath goodness and grace.
For at last she had arrived and come home to what she secretly called…
Her summer place.
