Give To Those In Need

They came in droves seeking a new land; a new start.

Wearing only the clothes on their back, they dared to dream.

Yet to look upon those faces, to see those eyes robbed of hope,

Makes me wonder…WHY...

That was 75 years ago!

Where was the love; where was the compassion for these souls?

Were we more self serving then than we are today…I think not.

For today there are millions who have been forced from their homes.

The poor are growing at an alarming rate and we look the other way.

Are we to just look the other way; or we to pretend that they do not exist?

NO…we are to give, and not just of our money, but of our time as well.

Some may say, “I’M just getting by myself, how can I give”?

YOU JUST DO IT…I do, and if I can, so can you.

It does not have to be much…and I promise; you will get it back many times over.

If you can’t give money; then give of your time, show your heart, and show your love.

Give without expecting anything in return…give as giving unto the Lord.

Too many hard working families stand on the threshold of disaster…and some of us check or worry about or stock portfolios.

Take time to LOVE TRUE…for true love is the perfect gift that will always survive.

We are not promised tomorrow, and there are not any banks or stock markets in Heaven, or Hell.

Someone once said, “Give until it hurts”, that still stands true today.

For we as creations of GOD are to give, and to give without thought for self.

And self is the hardest thing that we have to face in this temporal journey.

Life is short…VERY short…and “but by the grace of God, there go I”

James: 5-9

5Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. 6Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
