Poem Artwork

They say time heals, it does this only by the distance that is placed between the hurt and the mind, for even memories tend to fade.

The cascading waters of time

give solace to all who are weary of heart and mind.

Falling unseen from heavens throne,

adding comfort and peace

to those that have been left by others....Alone.

Come now, and end thy search,

for there are no answers, as to why you were hurt.

But dare to be bold,

and wade but just a little,

in the waters of time,

and then thou shalt see,

the healing of thy broken heart,

and the gentle restoration of your weary mind.

Alas,

Though you be still alone,

the peace of time has welcomed you home.

You shall once again laugh,

and you may still cry,

but the waters of time have washed your grief,

your pain and your mind.

You now, are free to live again,

and it will be OK to remember when....

when, not so long ago, that you and he,

or he and she or whom else it may be,

would sit and laugh, or run and play....

or even just sit still and hold hands all day.

Yes, you can remember them

and all will be OK,

for the waters of time has taken you hurt away.
