Poem Artwork

        ~As the Feet Grow~

Filling Mother's shoes
between reality and
dreams to become
a little of both I found

The good, the bad
the ugly of me fighting
to maintain a proper
fitting my Own shoes

Thank you, Mother
looking down on me
comfortable now
in my own size for my
many paths that
lie ahead sidewalking

Happy Mother's Day
between
Heaven and Earth

The poem is a magical delight. Though distraction came from the woman in green. Blimey, a stunning sight. :)

You have hit on a very apt metaphor for the journey towards motherhood. We all smile benignly when the little ones try on Mom's shoes seldom looking beyond the moment and into the transition we are witnessing. A timely tribute to Mothers everywhere.

Each new generation must fill the shoes of their forbearers. You have made the transition well and are honoring the one who got you there.

I have learned much from my mother that carries me in these days when she is so close to the end of her days. I hope I can give her something special this Mother's Day that she will remember in the hard days to come.

...just been thinking about writing poem
to celebrate the Mother's (on earth and in heaven) Day,
...something like..."God could not be everywhere
so He created Mothers"..., but you...Dear Vivian, covered it
all...and more...with your pen, heart, artistic skills
and talent......... attached photo that speaks volumes.
Thank you, so much for sharing it with us.
Happy Mother's Day and Thanks to all Moms, Mummy,Mamma
for holding our hands and...spirit through all the ups
and downs.

The picture says it all and the poetry magnifies the thought behind it.

This very sweetly done, Vivian. I guess it is fitting into mother's shoes that define the girls, for the guys the first time they shave. I, for one, have never forgotten that first time.
