Fellow Poets and Friends,
Don’t ever think that angels do not live amongst us, for I believe they do. How else would I explain the presence and friendship with my dearest friend, Marge Baker? Marge went to be with our Lord and Savior this morning at 2:30 AM; her daughter Margie Jo and granddaughter Stephanie holding her hands as she passed into Glory with a beatific smile on her face, knowing that her true journey into eternity was just ahead of her.
She resides now in her Heavenly mansion, walking on streets of gold, greeting the many loved ones that went before her. Marge has seen the face of God and walked in the gardens of Paradise with Jesus whom she had loved and worshipped since she was a small child.
I am still flooded with tears of not ever being able to talk, laugh, or share our hearts together and maybe most important of all… the fun and laughter we enjoyed as true friends sharing one heart together. I hope to soon pass through the valley of tears and loss, to start rejoicing as Marge would have done had I gone before her.
I will be speaking at her service and I ask for prayers that I will be able to do justice to the fine, outstanding: friend, mother, daughter, wife, sister, aunt and grandmother that she was. I believe my Lord will give me just the right words to speak as I honor my friend, confidante and mentor of so many years.
A few years ago, as I was ending a conversation with Marge, I said goodbye, as usual and she told me that she didn’t want to say ‘goodbye” anymore to her loved ones and dearest of friends. When I asked her why, she explained to me the word goodbye was too final for her and that she would rather just simply say “later.” I thought about what she said for days afterwards, reveling in the wisdom I had learned to expect from her.
So, Marge, I will not say goodbye to you now for I have confidence that I will see you once again- Later.
With Love,
Joy

I lost my dearest friend in the world a few days ago...my pop.
It broke my heart, but the night he died I had fallen asleep. I woke suddenly to what felt like a breeze saying "See you later alligator...it's so hard to leave you." It was my father. This had been our code when I was little, and we had not said it since but I knew at that moment he was on his way to Heaven. I confirmed the time later had been the time of his death but what he meant was this is not good-bye, it is only see you later.
Love,
Christine
Forever Friends....
We cannot measure our friendships in dollars, time or weight.
We cannot see it coming, that part is left to fate.
But once we know the blessings that come with one good friend,
we know the joy and gladness of friendship without end.
