A poem for Loki, the youngest of my three dogs.

Loki, such a clumsy pup Would flatten me with zealous love He'd black my eye whilst climbing up And as I roll my eyes above Exasperation rising fast He'll stomp upon my tender spots And say he loves me best of all By setting tongue to lick eyeball Until at last I'm seeing dots But, for all his clumsiness His loyalty's beyond compare Time and time again he'll stress That I'm the one for whom he'll care With adoration in his eye The world to him is what I'm worth For merest touch of hand on head And hear the words 'Good boy' be said He'll follow me to ends of earth.

Cute piece of poetry for a cute puppy and yes, they sure are clumsy but the love they have is unconditional.
