She gave him everything she had

Her intentions staunch with love

In her eyes he was everything

From earth to stars above

They went through joy and tragedy

The two of them, a team

Today he just abandoned her

And killed her precious dream

His actions taught her to beware

That a man’s love will refute

She waits here now in limbo

Whilst her future’s in dispute

Her instinct now to be alert

For any sign of threat

her mind’s become a nervous wreck

Her heart’s been left in debt

She's learned that love and loyalty

Will never be enough

To earn her place beside her man
