Let not, my dreams be sacrificed
For want of kindred spirit’s touch
Leave not, my soul in solitude
With just a broken dream to clutch
Take not, my aspirations down
And leave my precious hopes for dead
Oh, shine a light along the way
Some guidance for the road ahead
Cast not, my needs to stormy sea
Where they’d be lost beneath the tide
Inter them not, deep underground
Where bones and ended lives reside
Bring forth the sunlight to my face
That I may warm my chilled morale
Bestow my skin, soft kiss of rain
And cleanse me of lost love’s fatale
Embalm me not, in misery
Instil my heart with fortitude
Dispel the shadows from my mind
That I may breathe with gratitude.

Love this type of poem, where the sad sweetness flows softly yet deeply.

Along with a gravitas and depth, within the yearning.
The atmosphere is almost tangible.
A very special write.
when you can do this, you will open yourself
up to what you deserve dear Ruan...
