Ringing his bell with a Ho Ho Ho
Stamping his feet and sounding his cry 
Wishing A Merry Christmas to everyone 
As a gaggle of shoppers go scuttling by 

The bell sounds again and a Ho Ho Ho 
Sparkling blue eyes and bushy white beard 
Have you all been good boys and girls? 
He looked around as the children all cheered 

The rattle of tin and a Ho Ho Ho 
Help those who need it! He'll bellow to all 
Make Christmas special for life's waifs and strays 
Over and over the town hears his call 

The jolly red suit and the Ho Ho Ho 
Are all that we see as he stands on the street 
Wishing a merry Christmas to everyone 
Whilst his fingers are numb and so are his feet 

Ringing his bell with a Ho Ho Ho 
Darkness is falling, the day's nearly done 
But what of the man in the Santa Claus suit? 
Does anyone wonder if he's having fun? 

The bell is now silent. No 'Ho Ho Ho' 
A man settles down on a seat in the park 
He's nowhere to go on this bitter cold night 
Tomorrow he has to be up with the lark 

At dawn bright and early he's back on the street 
Red suit and white beard, he's ready to go 
Smiling and jolly he's stamping his feet 
And ringing his bell with a Ho Ho Ho
