Parseltongue
1.
A language laid with dark intent
to twist and maim all righteous vow.
A means to thus disparage, while
corruption works to disallow
all veins of truth, all threads of light
to keep them hid, far out of sight.
2.
A Parseltongue; once fully trained
and bearer of coercive mind;
- then ranked in false idolatry
- and garbed in robes of rivalry
- to cast despair on you and me
...as we are left behind.
Heisted high in lofty ruse
they conjure up such venemous wrong
So lest we fall and then succomb
- we're forced to pay them vastly sum
- to 'speak for us' in parseltongue
- (where clearly we are deaf and dumb)
... to combat deadly throng.
The Parseltongue
(a basilisk of sly and deftly dark deceit)
Whose c'laws impale and tear and rent
- wields slippery form and toxic heat
- while glassy gaze does not deplete
- whose aim is thus; to lie and cheat
....and burn the innocent.
Cares not, the poison pen it wields
nor owns the streams of lies it told
No sleepless nights o'er harm it caused
to tattered lives, both young and old
No justice can be found among
the cold reptilian Parseltongue.

Parseltongue is translated "fourchelangue" (Fourche = Fork, Langue = Tongue/Language).

Yes, doublespeak, innuendo, half-truths and downright lies are the mainstay of politics these days. Solving few problems, throwing a lot of money at keeping the problems going, and generally pitting citizens against one another over trivial pursuits.
