The power of love

The eyes of my beloved, Golden as the sun.
Fluffy as the winter snow, crispy as cookie cakes.
Flawless as the springs, pure as diamond.
Blue as the cloudless sky, white as balls of wool.
How I desire to be with you my beloved.
How I love to behold your faultless smile.
To shiver at the scent of your inner beauty.
How I love to have a scoop of your bounty.
Through the sunshine, we were sunbathed together.
Through the storms, we sailed the seas together.
Through the fires, we were both refined like gold.
Through the darkness, your shadows never left me.

We met at the streets of derisions, you brought covering for my shame.
We met at the courts of the scornful, you brought justification, alleviating my condemnation.
We met at the gates despair, you brought me hope, of a new beginning.
See my beloved, how she nurses me with the fresh milk of her breasts.
See the possessions I have accrued, silver and gold fill my cellars.
So were the words of my haters to me. They dug troughs, coated with thorns and thistles, but you brought me out.
See him in his filth, they said, they slandered me, but you justified me.
The shackles of loneliness held me bound, but you broke them away.
They named me mire and dirt, but you named me purity and glamour.
Naked, and with shame I walked on the streets, but you brought me home and sheltered me.
I look into your crystal eyes, and all I see is fire flaming love, agape love.
Oh my dire thirst and hunger to remain in your blossom, never to leave your embrace.

I make an allegiance of my love, I will be with you forever.
Through the tough times, I will be there for you.
But the gulf is vast, the love is waning, last night I came home and you were nowhere to be found.
Your mind is alienated from me, your meals are still untouched.
My heart was heavy and wary, my sorrow heaved in my bowels.
I am back my love, back forever.
Look me in the eye and repeat that statement, I am yours forever my love

It would be an understatement to say that this treatise is passionate and all embracing. But it would not be an understatement to say that it is grossly overstated.
