Memories of summers past

Poem Artwork

Forgetful summer of my past
where did you go?
why did the trees erase from me
the memory of their swing?
mayhap the river took them all
mayhap, I only dreamed;
Oh summer day of long ago,
where did it go?

Time passes so quickly. I hope I can grab hold of my memories before they are also gone.

I would certainly forget "a forgetful summer" and only remember the ones that were memorable.

Each season seems to have its own memories and its own nostalgia. I feel that about your "lost summers" poem, sweet melancholy.

Those lazy days of summers past,
rest in my memories, made to last.
There's a new summer coming soon,
right after the next full moon.

I liked my season of the summer. It was the best time of my life. There were so many things for me to explore. You've brought back many memories for me.

Ahhh . . . Summer is not far away, as it supposed to show itself June 21, but maybe not, spring has taken its own sweet good time arriving this year. Besides, that summer of your past may never return because you were seeing it with much younger eyes.

I BELIEVE THAT OUR PAST IS WHAT STRENGTHENS US TODAY, LOOKING BACK WE REALIZE HOW A WONDERFUL GOD HAS BROUGHT AND KEPT US ALONG THE WAY AND WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR THE MEMORIES OF YESTERDAY THAT HAS NEVER LEFT, AS WE 'PRESS ON'...TODAY. THANKS FOR SHARING, MYSTIC, ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
