HOW I DID ENJOY THIS SHARING! I SMELLED ITS AROMA AND SAW HER ARMS OPEN WIDE...WITH LUSCIOUS BLOOMS! LOVELY WORK AND ENJOYED, THANK YOU, MYSTIC. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
At first I read it without reading the title. I was wondering who this smelly "she," was? And then I saw the title and understood. I really do miss the booming lilacs that we had in the spring in my youth. They don't grow here.
A beautiful presentation of your poem; that image. Lilacs indeed are wonderful splashes of color and shape. And for me personally; I always discover spiritual subtext in flowers. Any kind. Enjoyed your thoughts, Vienna. Peace... r
Reminds me of the lilac bushes that surrounded our house when we were children, indeed spreading their distinctive perfume and "good sense". Thank you for reminding me thru this charming poem.
