She built a bonfire with her flaming words of love
her arson thoughts were like a sulphur match of old
igniting all who warmed themselves to her able,
she was a wildfire burning out of control ;
Then like a blown out candle on a birthday cake
one day he left her side and extinguished the fire
that consumed her soul and left her heart in choke;
little woman
owns no words
only silence,
begets her *
She took to piracy as a fish takes to shallow water
losing the carbon of her original palpate thoughts
A disheartened squatter sitting by a campfire waiting
for the gloaming, while playing with words under fire;
as the sunset
declined,
the moon became
a great big ball of fire *
She matched her words with the flame of her true self
as all the stars in heaven conspired with zeal & stealth.
to teach her how to write again with steadiness and hope.
I AM A TRUE BELIEVER; UNTIL YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH IT, YOU REALLY CAN'T WRITE OF IT...WHATEVER 'IT' MIGHT BE FOR EACH OF US. THANKS FOR SHARING, MYSTIC. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
If we could all take lessons in love from the moon and stars, this world would be a much better place with more love and harmony, and less hatred and discord.
I am saddened to see how divisive this world has turned into, and how much hatred the humans are shown even to a stranger whom they don't know personally.
Great desptrive thoughts turned into words, her inner self thought to pursue her quest within herself instead of fighting with it outwardly. Nice write. Eh, that is what this poem means to me.
Indeed, as you suggest at the end of the poem, the stars do teach us much about those we things we don't know if only we take note and turn on the fire.
Reflections and Nature Watercolors is a collection of Margaret's spontaneous positive thoughts in celebrating and reflecting on life and her nature watercolors.
