Remembering my mom.

She went to join the angels
on the other side of here;
The days have suddenly grown longer then
the elongated nights of Autumn's eve
oh how I wish that I could laugh with her.
She was always there for us
ushering us forth in life
Through thick and thin she mothered her children
and taught them how to be faithful and strong
in the face of day to day adversity.
I long for the laughter lines
on her beautiful sweet face;
The recollection of her love still lingers
much longer then the search of what once was
forever in my soul she will reside .
With Holidays approaching
I do miss her all the more ;
There was always a birthday cake for her
for she was born at midnight Christmas Eve
and the biggest gift of all was her smile...
