Hanging out on the edge of night
she's a blue jewel of precious shine
I do none else but watch her light
from here below she's so divine
pouring out with all her might
Like a magic ball of old with Mystic view
she gives the world a shimmer- glow
her silver streaks of pleasant liquid hues
encase the water ways with glitter throw
she is an incandescent sight so blue...
O precious moon shine on with overflow
I need your quiet stare your solid ray
I do none else but watch this Universal show
that tells me ,ight has conquered day
pour out oh lovely moon and don't let go.
You made me think of what it would be like without a moon. Of all the creatures that rely on the reflected light of the sun that the moon provides and the landscape and coloring that it reveals bondage brightest moments. Mysterious and beautiful, a haunting that would not exist without a moon. Thank you.
How can we describe the moon, let me count the ways. How often I have attempted to do this, as you have successfully done here in this lovely, evocative poem. May the moon forever wander the night skies until universal nature takes her away into eternity's never-neverland.
